Stryker, one of the leading global companies in the medical technology sector, announced today that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of SERF SAS, a French company specializing in joint replacement, from Menix.

“The acquisition of SERF SAS further strengthens our global portfolio and reaffirms our commitment to orthopedic excellence,” said Katherine Truppi, president of Stryker’s Joint Replacement division. “We welcome the SERF SAS team to Stryker and look forward to working together to promote product innovation and customer satisfaction.”

With a history of over 50 years, SERF SAS is recognized globally by healthcare professionals for its innovations in hip implants, including the invention of the original Dual Mobility Cup. This acquisition complements Stryker’s already established presence in France and across Europe, as well as its global portfolio of joint replacement, allowing Stryker to serve a wider range of patients by strengthening its implant product line.

“The product portfolio of SERF SAS is built on a solid legacy in the orthopedic sector,” said Mathieu Badard, vice president and general manager of Stryker’s Joint Replacement division in Europe. “We are excited to combine our best-in-class product portfolios and work together to expand our presence in Europe and increase patient access to differentiated products for joint replacement.”
